I Know I Can in Brevig Mission

On January 15, 2013 Northwest Campus was in Brevig Mission for student outreach efforts and held a primary supplement event for the 2nd/3rd graders. This "I Know I Can" event was staged in Amy Norman's classroom of 17 students.

The students were very excited to discover more about the visitor to their classroom and about the "I Know I Can" book.

The students engaged in discussion about what they wanted to be when they got older and what they could do to ensure they were successful. Northern Advisor Annie Weyiouanna read the"I Know I Can" book to the students and talked about the book and lesson. Students then colored pictures on their IKIC postcards of what they want to be when they grew up. The postcards will be sent to Juneau and kept for several years before being mailed back to the students to remind them of this event and their goals!

All students had very interesting ideas of what they wanted to be! Thank you to Brevig Mission School and Amy Norman for allowing Northwest Campus to share this event with you!
