Nome is a popular spring destination for bird enthusiasts from around the world. Join us to travel the roads of Nome to view the spring bird migration and learn about species that nest on the Seward Peninsula. Each field trip takes participants along a different route (Council, Kougarok, Teller roads) depending on road conditions and migration progress. These are day-long trips with no facilities along the way so be prepared for all manner of weather and bring plenty of food and water.

Pete Rob has been an avid birdwatcher for over 55 years and has participated in Nome-area breeding bird surveys over the past 20 years.
