INSTRUCTORS: Jim Hansen is an MSHA-approved instructor and a pilot with a lifetime of experience in mining. Mitch Erickson has been involved in mining since 1981, having worked as a placer miner, provided in-house safety trainings for Nome Gold, and financed mining operations through First National Bank of Alaska. Sharon Keeney is a long-time lifeguard and first aid/CPR instructor.
