Placement Testing and Proctoring

rur-05-1511-097.jpg New or returning students interested in registering for courses are often required to complete a placement test. Advisors are available to assist students through this mandatory university enrollment process, involving the Accuplacer and ALEKS placement programs.

Accuplacer is used to provide English subject placement. The ALEKS program is used to provide appropriate Math course placement. For students enrolling into UAF courses, placement results are posted into the students account in the university database. Scores can also be sent to other institutions by request and proctor arrangement.

UAF Northwest Campus is also a community resource to proctor and administer other forms of examinations, certifications and tests. Please contact the campus about specific test offerings and availability.
